I can almost forgive the existence of the entire House of M mini for the sake of that one splash page. *is so in love with Big Daddy Mags' existential angst*
I can almost forgive the existence of the entire House of M mini for the sake of that one splash page. Oh, I don't care that it exists but, much like the Return of the AoA! books, I'm wishing I got reviews before plowing my way through it.
Oh wow. Clicked on this from your reply to my pimpage of you, and wow. I've never read the comic in question, but that is a stunning image, and the text feels like it totally could have gone along with it in the original.
(I wouldn't recommend the miniseries, as it is not as interesting as it sounds, so some relevent backstory: Charles inside their minds looked to see what everybody wanted (whether they knew it or not) and the world was reshaped accordingly.)
Oh wow. That sounds intense and fascinating, so it's sad to hear it wasn't executed well.
And that makes the text you adde all the more powerful and canon-esque.
Though the concept is very surprising, given how intent Charles usually is on *not* using his powers to manipulate (though as i have learned from my friends who are comics fans, different 'verses sometimes lead to *very* different characterizations).

I did like this page, though.
