Well lessee:
In the Phase and Proton series by Piers Anthony, it was possible.
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Data and Lore might have been able to with the help of Q
Marvel Comics: Vision and Scarlet Witch - they even had twins.
I am sure I am missing a few others, but yes, under certain circumstances, it is possible.

I think it was a shapeshifter (but she was a centaur at one point. . .been years since I read the books) and an android, along with a human and an android in the original series as well.
