I've been thinking a bit about my icons, lately. More specifically, I've been thinking about *how* I think of them. It's actually pretty interesting.

Of course, before I can come to any proper conclusions, I'd like to know what *other* people think about them...

(1) I don't envision anyone or anything when reading posts.

(2) I recognize the 1602 icon not as a scene from 1602, but as an abstract pattern of colors. I think this has something to do with how often I see default icons--eventually they lose visual meaning for me unless I stop and look at them carefully.

(1) *nods* I almost had that as an option. (And the wording is a bit weird, I admit. "Mental image" might have been a better way to explain what I was asking about.)

(2) Heh! *gestures at yours* I know what you mean. (It's actually one of the things that I was pondering when I posted this poll.)

(2) Mine is pretty abstract to start with (I think so, anyway), but I actually get a fair number of comments on the text from Swedish people. Go figure.
