odditycollector: What to wear, what to *wear*. Drawer or suitcase of folded clothes, one of which is a Superman outfit. (Wardrobe)

Regarding the appropriately titled Action Comics

Dear DC,

When I said that I'd accept Kara's costume as reasonable the day that Superman started flying around in ass-less pants, THAT WASN'T ACTUALLY A DARE.

Sincerely,
Karen

Ma will be so embarrassed for him when she sees that on the front page of the Daily Planet.

Special 3D Edition!

You think? With her track record, she probably made the alterations herself. "Well, you said you were always a bit hot out there."
"....Thanks, Ma."

Anyway, it'll probably go over better than Superman Blue.

It's like on Simpsons when Homer builds the assless bear-fighting costume.

"If I'm really scared, I don't want to ruin the suit!"

I'm sure even Superman gets scared sometimes! Also: what you said totally sounds like a dare, my friend.

"The backless pants show what I am: male, healthy, and strong. If folks want to degrade themselves by staring and drooling and tripping over themselves, that's their problem, I'm not going to apologize for it."

You tell 'em, Clark!

(And no, dude, that totally was a dare. Admit it. CONFESS! XD)

WHOO!

CLARK. "You think I could get away with something like that?"
BRUCE. "You're Superman. You could cut the bottom out of your uniform and paint your ass red, and people would be too polite to say anything."
CLARK. "No way."
BRUCE. "Well, since you're chicken, we'll never know."
CLARK. "It's not going to happen."
BRUCE. "Bet you twenty bucks."

I'd pay to see that exchange. And the one that comes later.

What issue is this from?

[identity profile] odditycollector.livejournal.com 2007-12-03 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
It was the special 3D phantom zone issue! Which the internets suggest to be Action #851. (I'd check to be certain, but I'm not close to my comics atm.)
