I don’t usually go for the anonymous memes, but this constructive criticism for writers one seems in good faith. And besides, it’s something I’m really, really curious about.
If you have any thoughts on my writing, positive or - and I’d really like to encourage this - negative, please tell me about them. You can comment anonymously (or not, I don’t mind) at the meme or anywhere in this journal. I don’t log IPs, and I’m egotistical enough that it’s exceedingly unlikely you’ll upset me. If you don’t have any thoughts in my direction right now, let it be known that I always would appreciate concrit on my stuff. Even when I’m just playing around, I still maintain the dream.
I never have much of an idea what people take away from my LJ existence. For example, I’m always, *always* surprised to be identified primarily as a crack-fic writer. Which, if you consider my output over the past couple years, is about the epitome of self-unawareness. (See why your input is necessary?)
Even if you just follow my journal but not my fic (or vice versa), I’d love to hear why.
And now for another, completely different writing meme!
If you make up titles for stories I didn't write, I will respond with details of those non-written stories. (If you'd like to include details you'd like, pairings or fandoms or etcetera, go right ahead!)
I suspect anyone who has talked to me on IM will be wholly unsurprised I jumped on *this* one.

odditycollector: a couple more request ficlets, and blathering on *why* I do request ficlets all the damn time anyway.

Digging through old comment notifications. Don't mind me.
If I hadn't been reading silver age crack at 2 in the morning, I probably never would have decided to mesh Brimstone and the DCU just because of a bad pun. I wrote up the first thousand words whilst sniggering to myself loudly over the destined punchline... and then I went to bed. When I woke up, I had entirely forgotten how it was supposed to end. It was - argh! Very annoying.
So I stared at it a couple days and finally patched an ending together out of Cass, Lyle, and Godzilla, and people seemed to like it well enough, which I guess meant they didn't notice what they were missing.
And really, what more can any writer hope for?
