odditycollector | Watching the Smallville JSA movie

Missed the first 10 minutes or so, but I assume it will not be difficult to catch up.

-Holy shit. Are the guest actors always this hilariously bad? I dunno if she looks like Stargirl or not, as I was busy laughing at her grief.

-Good to know Clark's "I have no idea what you are talking about; maybe you could try again using smaller words," expression is still intact from last time I watched.

-Sandman dreams in bad 80s special effects. Things I Did Not Know.

-"I would like to take a closer look at this glowing staff..." Chloe! What are you doing giving out these straight lines. And Oliver Queen! How could you have missed it.

-Chloe: "I'll see if I can help Clark uncover clues. And by help I mean, Find them for him, and then draw him a map. And then explain what a map is for. Using small words."

-Most unconvincing archival footage ever. Is this supposed to be old style news? If not I missed it, but I can't think of what else could be. But then WTF is up with the camera angles? And the editing?

-Jay looks good, and Ma Hunkle, but that's not quite my mental image of Alan Scott.

-Cloe sent Clark to the Daily Planet to look up an address. She just wanted him out of the way, didn't she?

-How can you overact "standing"? Goddam it I would have been willing to like Stargirl, for the record.

-Clark:"The bullet wounds were frozen. Just... like Sylvester Pemberton!"
Chloe: "Good job, Clark! Anyway, we're actually several steps after that now, but yay for you! Making connections like that!"

-*All three* of the JSA actors are terrible. I mean, and I rarely ever notice these things. Hawkman, I know you are angsty and menacing, but if you try to infuse every sentence they give you with 100% of both you will just seem creepy and possibly constipated.

-Also Stargirl has crazy eyes. Is that supposed to be an emotion?

-okay, it is 45 minutes in, and I have to take a break. TBC when it replays.
