She's been practicing her manic grin.

The previews for tomorrow's Supergirl comic are up, and this page has me a little bit concerned.

Kara: But think about it for a second. How are this guy's powers even possible?

[insanejournal.com profile] odditycollector: "Noooo. Once you go down that route it is all logically disproving the existence of your universe!"
[insanejournal.com profile] caia_comica: Oh dear!
Caia: That would be really, really bad.
Karen: Superman is trying to tell her that!
Caia: He *knows* that *their* powers don't stand up to any logical scrutiny either!
Karen: "You should not be one to talk, Kara."
Caia: *shakes head* She needs to stop this now, before she disappears in a puff of logic!

Karen: At least there seem to be words in this issue.
Karen: It's a nice change!
Caia: Yay WORDS.
Caia: Are there not usually?
Karen: It was the writer who invented Cass. I think he may have been having difficulty adjusting.

(All srsness, though, I totally approve of how Kara discovered some brains recently and will be picking it up. It's just that trying to find an internally consistent logic within their universe is why so many DCU scientists go MAD.)

Wow. I... I like the art. Really like it.

That's rare.

Also, consciousness without a physical brain... I dunno, how many beings are there in the superhero/mutant/supernaturalbeings/whateveryoucanthinkof world they live in that don't conform to human standards of a) brains, b) consciousness, c) physicality, d) physics?

... many?

Well, she has *recently* discovered some brains. I expect the whole insaneness of the DCU will hit her now that she's actually paying attention? (Or not, I guess, having read comics before.)

OTOH, after having read the issue in question, it seems like Kara is determined to break all the unspoken rules of having an ongoing superhero title. Which, you know, is obv. going to lead into Kara losing it and building an army of homicidal robots! (...I would read it.)
