RIP Jean Jennings Bartik

I am feeling this sense of emptiness, now that all the ENIAC Programmers are gone. I guess it's not *living* history anymore.

This has been a bad week for humans in general.

They (http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/george_dyson_at_the_birth_of_the_computer.html) left us with computers, late night hacking, and a caffeine addiction. Their history lives with us every day.
