Just now saw a picture of the rebooted Amanda Waller -- here's a link, which leads to a comic book rendering of a thin, young, conventionally attractive woman in a cleavage shirt and glossy red lipstick. Also she appears to be smiling somewhat vacantly.

Which would be fine, if it was ANYBODY BUT AMANDA WALLER WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK

Phase One: Abject Rage. "What kind of shitcock downgrades Oracle back to Batgirl?"

Phase Two: Sarcastic Acceptance. "No, no. You know what, Batgirl's a great idea. Have fun with your vastly inferior character, at least you can't fuck up her reputation with hackers."

Phase Three: Bauble Distraction. "Oh, cool! K'Nex!"

I just... I don't even. What the fuck were they thinking?

My roommate had heard that they'd fucked Waller over, but we didn't know how. We were speculating on what it could be -- did they make her a scientist, like in the movie? Did they make her thin?

For a fleeting moment, we wondered if they'd made her white, then immediately wrote it off because what the hell that would be impossible. But there's a tiny, traitorous voice in the back of my mind who, given the way DC has been acting recently, wouldn't have been surprised.
