like coming home.

Well, [livejournal.com profile] lacorneille, I've figured out why there's not very many science majors around here. This past couple weeks, my life has been classes from 9 to 4, trying to keep up with the couple classes that have marked homework for another few hours, labs, a little bit of compulsive Pratchett reading, preparing for labs, breakfast, um...

I figure I'll be all caught up by May. Or, if not, at least kicked out of the program so's I don't have to do anymore procrastinating. Sigh.

Anyway, I did manage to find time to get Endless Nights. And the best Sandman book EVER is...
... Well, still Brief Lives, natch. But it was fun to see new stories. (If anybody wants, I'll put up some pictures. I've already scanned them, 'cos of being me, but they're Big. Actually, on that, a lot of the graphics in the book look better really big... Esp, for example, the Portraits of Despair.)

Sleep now. Apologize later.

Despair's story was bloody beautiful, no? And Delirium's, while kind of confusing (seriously though, it's Del's, it can't not be confusing), was brilliant.

I keep on meaning to scan stuff in, especially of Sol (awwwhaddawiddlewoobie), but I'm afaid of damaging the binding. >.

You just can't scan the whole thing at once, I find. But if you're otherwise careful it doesn't usually mind.

Ha, point.

Am thinking the next fours years for me are going to be a semi-random mix of living in lab and more free time than I can handle.

But coincidence that I stopped writing once school started? Nope. (I have a theory that it's easier to get distracted writing fic when you should be writing a paper than writing fic when you're in lab. Or writing a lab report. Or doing problem sets. Hmm. Maybe it's a function of computer use for homework?)

For me, getting distracted writting fic is something that happens when I ought to be sleeping. But getting distracted reading fic, on the other hand...

See, I do that in summer and on vacations, but I try to be in bed by 12 during schooltime, so if I get distracted, it's by reading, not writing.

Speaking of which, physics final tomorrow augh must study!

(I write fic in class, if at all, during schooltime. But I tend to do it in English classes, which I don't intend to take any more of, so I'll have to think of something else. Block breaks, I guess....)
