Obsession suprisinglyCoolShow = new Obsession( Brimstone );

Livejournal has been acting a little weird for me lately, so if (anyone hasn't received comments from me in the last couple days...)
{
      ...No, that really doesn't work as a question, does it?;
}
else
{
      Um, please feel loved until further notice?;
}

Okay, enough of that. Really. (When you lose sleep over a computer assignment, the idea of doing an entire update in amateur coding can seem strangely funny. But I am strong, and shall resist.)

I've downloaded a few episodes of Brimstone (Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] priya, I believe, for pointing them out. Apparently there's more than one filesharing program - who'da thought?) and enjoyed them quite considerably.

So, there's a couple new points on my list of Things That Would Make the World a Better Place. One of them is a Smallville/Brimstone crossover, even if it would be too damn easy (pun unintentional, but welcome).

The other, quite unashamedly, is Stone vs. Methos. Why this should be, I cannot say. Except, you know - Stone. VS. Methos. How could it not be cool?

Um, also, I've signed up for the Flying Leap Challenge that [livejournal.com profile] lifeinwords is organizing. Of course, the problem with trying to write a story about flying is that a significant number of my 'doms have people with wings. Or floating ability, or no particular affinity for the laws of gravity, or - you see where I'm going here.

"Okay!" I say to them. "Flying! Get inspired!" But they kind of blink back at me as if I had suggested writing a fic about going to the the minimart for a carton of milk. (Except, you know, there's possibilities for the premise of going to the minimart for a carton of milk.)

So then, please help me, gentle readers. Give me some rather odd things that should go in the story. I'd do better if I had odd things to work with, maybe. Or not, but at least it'll be a rather uninspired thing with a vampire hairdryer on wheels in it (for example).

This last thing: There's a really neat meme going around, getting authors to do commentary on their fics. I'm not sure if there's anything I've posted here that's so exciting as to beg one, but if anyone wants one, just tell me. It beats doing work.

And, where did I get "gentle readers" from, anyway? What an odd thing to say...

i only saw about 2 episodes of Brimstone, but i was very saddened when they cancelled it. i would've loved to have spent more time in that world.

and Lori Petty is awesome. :)

Another person, yay! That's practically a fandom!

I've downloaded a few episodes from Suprnova.org this week, as if I'm forced to sit in front of my computer for an extended period of time, such things are going to happen.

And she's lots of fun, yes.

i once read a fantastic vignette for Brimstone, a very seductive Stone/The Devil.

hmmm, i wonder where that was...

[livejournal.com profile] spike21 has a great Brimstone drabble somewhere, and [livejournal.com profile] harriet_spy has a story on her misc. fandoms page... as for SV/Brimstone, check [livejournal.com profile] thete1 and [livejournal.com profile] basingstoke's pages for bits of their unnamed SV/Brimstone series. Bas started it off in her SV "Five Things" story, Te continued it in "Whosoever Loveth And Maketh A Lie," and then Bas wrote another one I can't remember. Crazy stuff. :)

Hey, cool! Thanks!

*Checks off SV/B x-over.* The world is a better place already.

(So, uh, how did you know I was all excited, for that matter? Not that I'm at all complaining or glancing into corners or anything...;)

Sometimes I read other people's friendslists when I'm bored. *checks your user info* I probably saw your post on [livejournal.com profile] greenygal's friendslist-- she's got a lot of interesting comic-book fen on hers. And the mock javascript caught my eye. :D
