This is kind of belated, but whatever!

I had quite a few problems with the New Krypton/War of the Supermen storyline from DC. This is regarding one of them.

We Are Not Alone in the Universe (or Zod Was Right)
Being an epilogue to the events of War of the Supermen.

Spoilers: for War of the Supermen, in case you were unsure on that point.
[ETA: very important, this is a scene made from re-dialogued comic art. The words, and only the words, are mine. I talk more about my intentions in this post.]

(You know what is a hard question to figure out the answer to? What is the rotation period of our galaxy. Fascinating, but not so's you can fit in a word bubble.)

All the artwork I used was taken from R.E.B.E.L.S. 17, because the universe apparently sensed my need and provided as best it could. I've also borrowed a couple lines without change. Credit goes to Sergio Arino (pencils), Scott Hanna (ink), and Tony Bedard (script).

Font is Letter-O-Matic.

And you know who deserves way for props than they traditionally get? Whoever draws the damn word balloons in comics. OH MY GOD. (Apparently there is a better way than whatever I did, but it made me want to say mean things to my computer trying to figure it out.)

Wait, is all of the dialogue you? Just the blue captions? Something in between?

Oh. Wow, you did a really good job. With your protestations of difficulty with word balloons, I was confused. When I read it, it looked professional (though I now see irregularities in the pointers).

I haven't read any of this in ages but I was still entertained. Although of course I'm missing the finer implications having no real reference for anything except the characters (which I last read about in the late 90s).

Context: We destroyed a populated planet, for which the narrative consequences seem contained to a sad editorial written by Lois Lane (who then flew off into a hopeful sunrise in Superman's arms). Go humanity.

But I'm glad it worked for you, 'specially if you are somewhat familiar with the characters! I'm not fully familiar with all of them; I worried a bit.

...Wow. I'm really glad that I read nothing of this crossover beyond Supergirl.

Also, you should know that I spent much of this wondering when your commentary would start, and then realized the comic was your commentary. Then I was impressed!

I've had a few people tell me that was unclear. But I ALWAYS post manipulated comic pages without this problem, idk where I failed this time.

Um. Also I'm glad you were impressed at me!

I think it just means that this was super-believable. That is the opposite of failed!

I do not think DC would let anyone publish such an anti-human rant. It might alienate their target audience of humans!

Fragile bastards that they are.
