Very nice.. I like Tim and Cass interaction and this was very well done. It makes a lot of sense that Tim would pick up so quickly on who inflicted the damage because he had the same marks at one point after Shiva's lessons... they were just not as *advanced*. I did wonder where in the timeline this was, which Tim room, but that is negligable.
And I know what you mean about the ideas all there and in order but then refusing to come out - its the worst kind of writers block there is 'cause its like a kind of cruel torture method. Y'know, like holding water just out of reach but fully in sight of a person dying of thirst.. :P
