An article taken from [livejournal.com profile] shyday. I think anything that I should say about it you might come up with on your own.

When the police attack sparked a geyser of media criticism, Mike van Winkle, the spokesman for the California Anti-Terrorism Information Center told the Oakland Tribune, "You can make an easy kind of a link that, if you have a protest group protesting a war where the cause that's being fought against is international terrorism, you might have terrorism at that protest. You can almost argue that a protest against that is a terrorist act."

It's funny, you think to yourself, Well, when exams are done with, I'll have plenty of time for fandom geekiness and poking at LJ and such. And then suddenly, exams are done with, and there's no need to procrastinate for them anymore and all that spare time is used up, um, somehow. Possibly I went shopping, as I have many more things than before, and I tend to block out unpleasant experiences.

(I hate shopping.)

And snow.

Snow quite a lot, at the moment. Why is it snowing here? It never snows here. That's the whole point.

And it won't go awaaayy...

(I find that if I complain to people, the thing I'm complaining about often goes away. I'm left looking like an idiot, but I think none here shall be shocked and amazed at that.)

I have been glancing through my friends page every few days, but if there's anything interesting I should have noticed and haven't, um, wack me with it? Seriously, anything. Like: I was somewhat offended that you didn't reply to my treatise on the symbolism of daffodils in Smallville, or I wrote a ballad on the adventures of the cosine function...

Okay, so these are more examples of things I might do, but send in the random wackiness. I'd hate to not know I was missing out on daffodil geekage... or, um, stuff.

Also, I wonder if one could actually buy one of these? Or this one.

(Can't you just see them sitting around a six-year-old's tea set, dressed in cast off doll clothes, between the bear with one eye and the barbie doll with the plastic scissor haircut?)
