These ended up being GO crossovers, because that's where my mind is right now.
The garden of Destiny has many faces, but the one he chooses most is a desert, stretching into the forever. It seems stable enough, from a distance; but the gold brilliance of the sand plays tricks with mortal perspective, and if you don’t know the right steps to take, you could be lost your entire life between two dunes.
The book Destiny carries is hard-bound and heavy as the universe, and he reads it a page at a time. And he frowns now, as he reads, because the book has changed. Whole paragraphs have been scratched out, and mis-spelled amendments have been fitted around the margins in a childish scrawl.
The pages flip backward, and Destiny sees that the corrections go all the way back to the beginning. It could be imagined that the new stories echo through the always, that the ravaged words leave scars across his soul.
But Destiny has no soul.
Destiny reads on, and the labyrinth splits and twists into new paths.
