I've heard that as well (although I also heard that Ferro Lad was created to die a few issues later anyway.) :(
You know, with the reboot and with full-color printing now universal, it would have been so easy to color EVERYONE in their own particular shade of tan or brown. Word. It's the most frustrating part about this whole everything.
