But, if this is an alternate reality Clark from Saturn lady's meddling with timelines and such, then maybe Kara is not genetically related to this Kal. In the same way that Earth-2 Kryptonite doesn't hurt Earth-1 Superman, kissing Brave New World Supergirl isn't really incest for crazy Hitler Superman.
Or maybe the writers are just making up this ridiculous plot page by page, and they couldn't figure out any other way to end the issue.
