For poisonivory: Supergirl! Jimmy! Smooches in midair!

 

Linda grabbed Jimmy by the waist and leapt into the sky, willing as much speed as she had between them and LexCorp mutants following. The air thundered close behind her, and she found herself slipping into a prayer that it was only her *own* wake.

"Are they--?" she shouted to her side.

Jimmy glanced over his shoulder and glanced back, frowning. "They're gaining," he shouted back.

"Da... Fu..." Linda scowled. "Dammit," she decided. She stretched herself forward, straining for an extra few miles a minute.

"No, it's okay!" Jimmy said. "I've got a plan!"

"Then you’re one ahead of me!” said Linda. “What is it?”

"We hide!" He tried to point towards a lonely looking cloud to their left, but the wind buffeted at his arm. “Quick! Go behind that cloud.”

“’Kay, hold on!” She twisted in the air, spiralling through the change in trajectory. She could feel the air around her moving as their enemies caught up with her, so she dived into the cloud rather than waste seconds flying around it. The water droplets stung cold against her skin as she moved through them. She shifted enough to shield Jimmy from the worst of it.

They broke back into sunlight moments later, and Linda slowed to a hover. They were both damp and she was beginning to tire, but there was no time to do more than brush a handful of droplets from their eyes.

Linda lifted Jimmy closer. “Okay,” she told him, “now what?” and he grinned and kissed her.

“Wnar oo *oog*!?” She pulled away. “What are you *doing?*”

“Hiding?” She stared at him. “This always works in movies,” he explained, with what Linda hoped was faux earnestness.

Whether Jimmy’s plan would indeed have fooled their pursuers, however, is impossible to say, as three of Luthor’s latest creations chose that moment to bear down and Linda had to fight them after all.

Well, so long as you're sure what the result of the plan was supposed to be. This is Jimmy "I bet you a quarter I can't kiss you without using my lips" Olsen, after all. (I think. Maybe. Continuity is hard.)
