I have given the matter due consideration, and have come to the conclusion that playing on the internet does indeed count as studying for my computer course.
I'm not sure what reading comics counts as, because I don't have an English test coming up, so I'll claim it as a well deserved brain break. Well deserved. Yes. After all, I'm studying for Compsci pretty hard right now.
So, I now have part five of 1602. And things are actually happening, so I'll forgive all the character building space in issues 2 & 3. Not that there wasn't any character in this one: Scottius being all jealous. Hee. And I'm willing to bet he doesn't know Grey's secret identity, although that may just be because fandom stole my brain and filled it with inappropriate thoughts that shall be hunted down and KILLED. (But this is an ARGHH! unrelated to 1602, so.)
Also, the artist's rendition of Neil? Creeped me out. I really don't know why. If I was going to scan pictures again, I'd probably put that one up, but I don't want to inflict that sort of thing on anybody else. I'm sure you're all properly grateful.
Um. I was going to talk about something else in particular, but it wasn't very interesting. Instead, an open question.
What's the most amusing song in the world? Well, according to you, at least.
My vote is for The Last Saskatchewan Pirate.
Well, you’d think the local farmers would know that I’m at large
But just the other day I found an unprotected barge
I snuck up right behind them and they were none the wiser,
I rammed their ship and sank it and I stole their fertilizer
And Mountie Bob, he chased me, he was always at my throat
He’d follow on the shoreline cause he didn’t own a boat
But cutbacks were a-coming and the mountie lost his job
And now he’s sailing with us, and we call him Salty Bob!
That's quality, man. Quality.

Morbidly curious, actually, since I haven't been following 1602.

And, hype aside, I'm sure you're not missing all that much. It's just a chance for me to squee over something that says Gaiman on the front. Or complain that it's been three straight issues of character setup. Whatever.
(...And you didn't say your most humourous song. I need amusement, help me out here! ;p )

(What? Humorous song? *confused*)

I'm about to run off and do actual computer studying, and doing that and listening to my depressing playlist is too much at once. Although, maybe it'll put me in the right mind to work on the depressing fic, which I actually did quite a lot of instead of chemistry. So maybe it all works out!
yay.

Bridge outside of Moose Jaw spans a mighty river
Hee. I've seen it. It doesn't.
"Carrot Juice is Murder" is a good one too. Sean Morey's The Man Song (http://www.seanmorey.com/mansong.html) makes me laugh. I LOVE "Lookin' Good" by Buck 65 (I look good, and you look good, but not as good as me, I'm so dope). If you want the WTF? kind of funny, track down a copy of "Half Fling" by Dom and Elijah (from LOTR). I swear, I have no idea what they're smoking but it gives hilarious results. And of course, there's the classic - the Muppets singing "I'm My Own Grandpa".

Hehehe...
And cool, thanks for the list. Hah, no depressing music for me today. ;)

No, it's really much better if you listen to it. Plus, there's more words!
Although I can't disagree with you, otherwise...

I agree that 2 and 3 were somewhat boring, since nothing happened! But I like it very much, even though I don't know nearly enough about X-Men to get all the references. Oh well.
As for the most amusing song? "I Don't Care If It Rains Or Freezes, 'Long As I've Got My Plastic Jesus" is one of the more amusing songs I've heard in a really long time. Unfortunately, it's supposed to be funny, and not actually a superbly unfortunate country song. But, The Last Saskatchewan Pirate is absolutely hysterical.

And it occurs to me most of the story will be rather crammed into 6&7&8, which doesn't seem very good unless there's far less plot than I had assumed. Sigh. Maybe the pacing will be better once it's collected as a whole. (I like it more than I'm letting on, o'course. Some people grab something by an author and expect to love it and so do, but if I expect to love something I tend to be overly critical.)
And thanks for the song!

One of those things so pathetic you can't help but laugh? *Goes to find out.*

And, yeah, it's one of those songs that just makes you laugh. I don't know if pathetic is quite the word--dated might be it, or horribly, horribly camp, but it's still very amusing; more so because some people actually take objection to it, strongly, for mocking Jesus. (Then again, with lyrics like these, you really can't blame them...)
Once His robe was snowy white,
Now it isn't quite so bright -
Stained by the smoke of my cigar.
If I weave around at night,
And policemen think I'm tight,
They never find my bottle - though they ask.
Plastic Jesus shelters me,
For His head comes off, you see
He's hollow, and I use Him for a flask.
Plastic Jesus! Plastic Jesus,
Riding on the dashboard of my car ...
Ride with me and have a dram
Of the blood of the Lamb -
Plastic Jesus is a holy bar.
