A subclass may not access the private parts of its parent class. If it were able to access the private parts of its parent, that would be a violation [of the rule of encapsulation].
Is it just me? It is, isn't it.

Of course, I, personally, am only going to be working on one of them this summer. But at least I know what it would take to make the world a better place...
And, I've found my first OT3. It's odd. I'd point out how corrupted I must be now, except it's a very... almost happily ever after sort of scenario, whereas every single pairing I've been interested in up til now has been angsty and doomed and usually after the fact. The two that come to mind as examples are Charles/Erik and AoA universe Scott/Warren (despite lack of fic - Grr). Even *canon* relationships, I tend to think of new and unusual endings.
There must be something wrong with me.
