I have a confession to make. I think everyone here is familiar with my God/Grumpy Bear icon, which has caused many people, especially me, an indecent amount of amusement. Well... I didn't actually make it.

It's been really bothering me, ever since I realized that icons are something I take personally. There's a level of hypocrisy involved, I think, to want credit for the more elaborate ones I've made, but to not give it for the ones I *didn't*.

So. The particular genius who animated the God/Grumpy Bear story was actually [livejournal.com profile] lovelyzelda who, as this was long before she wrote Aquaman/Giant Squid and certain stories involving My Little Ponies, really really didn't want to be associated with blasphemous furry porn. Which is a concern I could sympathize with (although obviously I don't have it myself). So I promised I'd pretend the icon was mine if I used it, but now my conscience is bothering me. And I'm not sure anything in fandom is worth this sort of moral dilemma.

I'm sorry, Z, but your honour must be sacrificed for mine. I hope you'll forgive me (and I'll totally understand if you don't want to write my weird meta request after all).

I don't imagine I actually fooled anyone, but just in case, my last post was a dirty lie. The give away was, I think, that I have absolutely no honour to salvage.

Hmm. In other news, so's I don't feel I'm spamming, I finally got off on my butt and updated my mood theme a bit. It still cracks me up.

I'm not sure, however, if many people outside of the US can really appreciate the joke (or even those in the US. Do those ads still play all the time?), so here's about half of a Zoloft commercial I managed to find online. I assume in the end the blob takes the pill and bounces away with a goofy grin, under a background voiceover threatening sexual impotence and diarrhea, because the commercials tended to follow a fairly predictable storyline.
