[livejournal.com profile] villainny wrote a Good Omens ficlet here. I bring this up because I read it and my brain promptly decided it needed a sequel, so there's another example of my mad snippeting several comments down.

Also, it seems like there's this whole little... movement in the GO fandom. They're, like, the People for the Correct Spelling of Aziraphale's Aziraphael's Name (Not to be confused with the People for the Complete Spelling of Zira's Aziraphale's Name).

People for the Correct Spelling of Aziraphale's Aziraphael's Name (Not to be confused with the People for the Entire Spelling of Zira's Aziraphale's Name).

I'm really a member of both - every time I type his name I have to change it to "Aziraphale". Sometimes I indulge myself and have the correct spelling :-) (Gabriel, being a stickler, calls him "Aziraphael" in 'The Men of Renown').

I'm just part of the latter, as I don't have nearly enough classical education to feel strongly about the 'L.' (Although I must have been a little convinced, because in my Desire ficlet, it calls him "Aziraphael" on purpose.)

I read a comment once where it was said, So Aziraphale is a bastardization of Aziraphael? But that's okay, because Aziraphale is a bastardization of an angel.

Something like that anyway. I bring it up 'cause it's funny.
