Well, you should note that it's an Aussie show - and over here "crackers" is a word purely used for a kind of food. Also, we don't actually have that many African-descended people - although we do have large numbers of Asians and Aboriginals.
(There are at least two Aborigines in the show - but no Asians I can think of, unfortunately.)
It's a shame that it's such a very white-people show. Shows I like should do better at this stuff, dammit!
