It feels a lot more logical and also more horrible than what is described in the book. Hmmm. I don't have the book with me, so I really *hope* I didn't actively contradict canon. It was a theory I decided on while reading Neverwhere, actually, so I'm trusting myself that I'm not too far off base.
and yes, I get the feeling that Crowley is very touched by the entire thing. That's why he's being so Crowley to hide it Yay, glad to know that got through. It was strange; the characters all had such complicated reactions to the situation, and it wasn't until I reread it that I managed to figure any of them out. I'm sure that says something, but what I'm not certain.
