I do not feel that it can much longer be reasonably described as "Early 2011," and yet there is still no Genius book for me to trade money for. Nor even news of the same.

(If you haven't read the stand alone issue of Genius, or have *forgotten* what was in it, my only advice is to get a copy into your brain at first opportunity. A borrowed summary: the world's greatest military mind just happens to belong to a 17-year-old girl named Destiny who lives in L.A.'s South Central.)

Genius survived Top Cow's Pilot Season in *2008*, earning itself a proper mini-series. Which I normally hold as a case for optimism in this world... Except.

I am starting to feel there is a prank being played on me. See:

Newsarama: Marc and Adam, what's the status of Genius? Will we be seeing the comic soon?
Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman: ... As of now it is slated to hit stands in 2010, hopefully in the first half.

Nrama: When do you expect the Genius series to debut proper?
Freeman: I wish we could say. Hopefully, early 2011.

...I await the announcement it is coming in "early 2012", I guess.

Boo! I was actually wondering about whatever happened to Genius just recently. I guess the up side is, it didn't already happen, so I didn't miss out on it. But, seriously, you guys, publish it. *gives them resolve face*
