Can I mix two tropes:

75 (High School / College AU x pretending to be married): um, somebody...Sherlock Mycroft Amanda Waller and Ben Turner, for maximum crack. Or whomever you want, really.

Well, for the High School AU part, I think I will just dump them back in Terrible Meme High. This may be cheating, but I remind you that you started it! And then I am not sure Amanda and Ben *are* actually pretending to be married, but Ben is always hanging meeting Amanda between her teaching classes or interrupting with emergencies, and she's always ordering him around.... and the kids will spread rumours, you know?

Although a notable portion of the Terrible Meme High students don't actually fully understand what marriage is, so this gossip leaves them with weird ideas of our customs.

Okay, I expect that they had set their respective teams to steal some kind of essential resource of an alien race who is pissing everyone off. And then those teams trip over each other, and Amanda and Vril II argue about who gets first dibs, but then the resource is recovered and... it turns out to be a baby? What?

I want to be like, suddenly they are arguing about who *doesn't* get first dibs, but honestly Vril II would love to attach it to scientific equipment and Amanda would like to spare it that BUT also check it out herself, less traumatically.

And then, idk, maybe it is one of those instant growing sci-fi babies (except the aliens captured it as an energy source?), so within a day it grows up and thanks them for the rescue and dissipates into the universe.

Amanda and Vril II argue about which of them is more entitled to the offer to repay them, but p much this is the end.
