Dear Self,

Please make sure to schedule any future internet-related
freakouts for days when you're planning to be genially
tolerant of humanity, and not already skirting the edges
of a quasi-genocidal rage.

Thank you,
Me

So, as it turns out, [livejournal.com profile] chains_of_irony is a rather reasonable and polite person after all, and the icon thing was a misunderstanding. Which is, you know, the best possible turn of events, although it does leave me looking a little bit like an idiot.

*pauses a moment while everyone considers whether or not this is an accurate reflection of her character, then picks up on a tangent*

By far, the strangest thing that came from all this nonsense is Good Omens smut.

*imagines the odd looks people are giving their computer screens and hastens to explain*

Because I don't tend to write anything substantial, my ficlet output is largely dependant on my mood. When I'm feeling goofy, I write little random sequels to things other people said. When I'm really really tired, the world gets Safe Sex Lessons The Captain Planet Way, or Aziraphale Says, Save A Horse - Ride A Giant, Flying Dick! (This is because my internal censor does actually have *some* shame, but often goes to sleep before I do.)

So, a couple evenings ago, after turning off the internet because it really wasn't working as a distraction technique, I ended up with Brian/Wensleydale, theme of that Wensleydale is a total fucking nutcase, isn't he. Which... okay, my Wensleydale *is* a total fucking nutcase at that point in his life, but I don't usually put the emphasis on the fucking.

Of course, I don't have nearly enough experience writing porn to have just scribbled out a sex scene that works on the numerous levels it's supposed to - if you're going to fail at something, fail spectacularly, yes? - so I'm going to have to rewrite the whole thing. And because [livejournal.com profile] minkhollow had requested Brian/Wensleydale, that somehow meant I had to write the other drabble she requested instead.

*points out her logic exam marks and dares anyone to argue with her reasoning*

So, the second weirdest thing to come of the aforementioned nonsense was the Neverwhere/HHG nonsense, and the third might end up being a long post on why I don't like anything but gen, except when I do.

I'm good with nonsense.

*nods, cementing the point in the minds of all reading*
