< 5 second rant > Okay, so if all there's been in the news is pretty pictures of orange flames and black smoke above captions like 5000 People Evacuated! and Fire Risk Extreme! and Worst Fire Season in BC for, like EVER! what would be a dumb thing to do? Any ideas?

Here's a hint: It would be pretty STUPID to throw a cigarette butt into kindling-dry bark mulch. Don't you think, sort of? At all?

In other news, I learned how to use a fire extinguisher today. That was interesting.

Always a good skill to have, the use of a fire extinguisher. Although yes, people should be beaten with sticks for their stupidity.
