Well.

Nothing for killing budding fannish obsession better than whatever the crap that was, I guess?

Sort of a relief, really.

I just watched the new one for today. I was SO EXCITED after the last two - like, found a new fandom, about time excited - but apparently they were just saving up all the suck for this episode.

I am grumpy.

Have to admit--this was the most disappointed I've ever been by a Doctor Who episode. =(

I think the big problem, which has shown up in other eps but never *quite* so blatently, is that the Doctor thinks of himself as a "lonley god." Which is fine EXCEPT FOR THE CREATIVE TEAM BELIEVES IT TOO. There is nowhere you can go from there except terrible endings.

(Also the Face of Boe revelation thing has gutted Torchwood - I mean, now we know, or at least "know", the end of Jack's story. AND ALSO SO MUCH OTHER DUMB ALL IN AN HOUR HOW.)

(I doubt he's really the Face of Boe. I think he's just screwing with their heads. ^_~)

*hugsonto* The Now-Lonely God of Evil whose fans have all left him RTD has said that it's only a theory, apparently, and not to be construed as Doctor Who canon--!

What? But. *sputters* This is not his livejournal. He does not get to speculate so blatently on show and not have it mean anything! And also he's supposed to at least PRETEND he knows the answers already.

Hasn't anyone explained to him how his job works yet?!
