Today I read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. As my first exposure to Jane Austen's novels, I fear I must admit I was glad of the zombies. (I know, blasphemy!)
If only because of lines like:
In her kind schemes for Elizabeth, [Charlotte] sometimes planned her marrying Colonel Fitzwilliam. He was beyond comparison the most pleasant man; he certainly admired her, and his situation in life was most eligible; but, to counterbalance these advantages, Mr. Darcy had a considerably larger head, and thus, more brains to feast upon.

OMG I must read this. I'm just waffling over whether to buy it.
(And just from flipping through, yes, it is greatly improved by the zombies.)
