So, today I wrote my last midterm for the, uh, term. Now I can screw around as much as I want – guilt free! (Well, for a day or so, anyway; until I remember that end-of-term equals start-of-final-exams.)

There’s a passably good chance I’ll sit down tomorrow and write some of those drabbles I owe people. And maybe the Gandalf/Martha Kent fic I agreed to write for the ithurtsmybrain challenge. The Adrian Monk/Daredevil one, on the other hand, can wait until I’ve lost a few brain cells, and am in the right state of mind to remember why I thought it would be a good idea. Funny, yes hopefully. But I’m now worried I don’t know the respective canons well enough.

(And that it’s entirely insane, of course, but there’s little point complaining about that.)

Speaking of comics, because yes, I was, is there anyone who’s been following Nightwing? I was wondering if the new TPB is worth picking up. Looked interesting, but I’ve used up too much of my random stuff budget to just take it there and then.

And… now I’m faced with the eternal dilemma. Draw attention to the accidental innuendo, or delete it. Hmm.

If you mean Big Guns, I like it for the early parts about Dick joining the force, and his initial interactions with Amy. The latter 1/3 or so, though, is taken up with the introduction of Hella, which I wasn't wild about. It's not bad, but if you're budgeting, it can probably wait.

It was the blurb about Dick as a rookie cop that caught my attention, actually. It seems like something that could have a lot of subtlety, it done well... Or well if done subtlely?.. Or... *is text-tied*

Well, it's going to be more of a G rated thing than a romance, as my mind shuts down in self defense at anything more than vague wistfulness.
