The first Iron Man movie was bad enough, but just the preview for the second one (and that "I've just privatized world peace" line said asshole dudes think is so hilarious) made me want to punch things.

Afterwards, a couple teenagers in front of me looked puzzledly at each other. "That was a very American movie, wasn't it?" one of them said. Which I understand because pretty much that movie is what America-as-a-nation's moral philosophy looks like from other people's news.
