A few days ago, [livejournal.com profile] __marcelo was wishing for a crossover between The Legion of Superheroes and... wait for it... the Cable & Deadpool intro pages.

Today I woke up and, for reasons known only to the deep recesses of my brain where I never go without a spork, thought "Yeah, why not?"

And.

The Story So Far. )
As you might be able to guess from the title, this was originally supposed to be part of a five things collection, but three of the five never made it past the That’ll never work phase, and the last is slowly becoming a very depressing novellette. However, I was sad to see this bit vanish (even if it's possible that it only makes sense in my head).

One Secret Origin Power Girl Never Had

It’s technically *not* a Good Omens/DCU crossover. No, really. )

For those curious, here’s a link to some Power Girl sort-of-exposition from [livejournal.com profile] scans_daily

And three more pages, to further confuse the issue.
So recently there was a Badfic party! And... yeah. All the justification you're going to get for this.

It's SGA, but if you're not familiar, I wouldn't worry. I tried to make it really clear what was going on. *Really clear*. Hopefully I managed!

Ill make up a tittle later ok it has to be GOoD! )
[[A/N: Hah! I bet you though I was gong to KILL RONON! But Im not that meen! RR plz I workd hard on this stoy it is more that 1000 words!]]

for [livejournal.com profile] m_butterfly: House (and Crowley) )

for [livejournal.com profile] hannahrorlove: Rosalyn Stone. )

for the other fine people I owe ficlets: I might have dropped them off in the future by accident. Sorry 'bout that.

It's sad, but LiveJournal seems to have very little love for Round Robins. I have been known to bemoan this fact to other people, earning for my woes either sympathy, confusion, or a change in subject.

Most recently I was complaining to [livejournal.com profile] caia_comica, and then something occurred to me that somehow hadn't before. If I was missing the fun of Round Robins, perhaps other people were too. Perhaps I could track some of them down and then we could reminisce together start one!

And so, [livejournal.com profile] dcrevolution came into existence. It's been turning for about a week now, and I, at least, have been having tons of fun. (In fact, you can't see, but I'm terribly excited about the whole thing and am having to force myself not to tack extraneous adjectives onto every noun I see.) We're making some *quality* crack in this corner, thanks to the very talented players (and myself).

But yeah, if you're at all interested in DCU crackfic, you should stop by and see what we're up to. Thus far we've got robots, dinosaurs, naked superheroes, and Batman... so you just *know* it's going to end up as one hell of a party.

I've stolen a page block of html out of [livejournal.com profile] brown_betty's book, and offered to write fic snippets.

So far it's just two, both for [livejournal.com profile] vagabond_sal (because of a fairly boring story, the summary of which is that livejournal doesn't think I *need* comment notifications anyway.)

Connor and Kyle. )

Bruce and Diana )

for [livejournal.com profile] caia_comica: Brainy and Kara. )

for [livejournal.com profile] brown_betty: Kon and Power Girl )

for [livejournal.com profile] daegaer: Ligur and Hastur )

If you want one too, leave me the names of two characters and I will write them having a shower together!

I was looking through my random jumble of paper for a notebook (which I still haven't found, oh woe) and I came across this snippet. I can't for the life of me remember what it was attached to, but it almost stands alone.

An orphan bit of Charles/Erik. )
So, according to the poll, the most dangerous crack is a toss up between Dom!Aziraphale and Kara/Brainiac 5. But an hour ago, there was a more definite winner, so...

Dom!Aziraphale. )

PS. [livejournal.com profile] caia_comica, what is this imaginary tale of which you speak?

[livejournal.com profile] louiselux wanted stuff produced in her honour. Who am I to deny her?

And now here's yesterday's scheduled silly thing, for which I have just now given everyone the required backstory as well as a 'probably not worksafe' warning.

And I was too tired to type up today's scheduled silly thing, so here's something I wrote years ago instead...

And now today’s scheduled silly thing, which I’ve tentatively titled What I did on my Vacation, by Veronica Ferris, age 23.

First of all, all my squee belong to [livejournal.com profile] vagabond_sal, who wrote me Age of Apocalypse Scott/Warren. I'm not sure if anybody remembers just how long I've been jonesing for AoA Scott/Warren, but I am very happy right now.

Less interesting, I've got some Easter Egg ficlets too:

[livejournal.com profile] vagabond_sal requested Diana/Bruce. )

[livejournal.com profile] daegaer requested Crowley/Bentley, Paris 1968 during the May Revolution. )

[livejournal.com profile] angharad requested Kerr Avon/Tricia McMillan, but, as I'm not familiar with Avon, instead gets a wild card of Trillian, no tea, dark chocolate. )

So then, is everybody else sure they don't want one of their own? It's a good chance to get crack-fic, or possibly to get even with me for the utterly insane requests I've been making of you fine people.
how [livejournal.com profile] minkhollow requested Neverwhere/Hitchhiker's Guide
And I knew that if I had the chance, I could make those people dance
And maybe she’d be happy for a while…

Hmm? Oh, right. The ficlet. )

I'm... not actually sure I have an excuse for this.

Divine Inspiration )
So, that first line game was fun. And I learned that I *can*, actually, write really short things (as opposed to the moderately short things I usually write). Also, I might have learned that am something of a fandom whore, if I didn't know it already.

Here are first line drabble things I've written...

For Penknife: 'Erik looked out over the sea of tents.' )

For lovelyzelda: 'As he drove towards Soho, Crowley didn't bother to avoid the glassy eyed pedestrians who idiotically wandered into the street.' )

For louiselux: 'The water, when it came, was cold.' )

For daegaer: 'And there was war in Heaven.' )

For musesfool: 'He has many names, none of them his.' )

And, if that isn't enough, I played [livejournal.com profile] louiselux's game and put together some ficlets made *entirely* of first lines.

From louiselux's lines. )

From daegaer's lines. )

I really, really want to blame [livejournal.com profile] daegaer for this, so I will.

[livejournal.com profile] daegaer pointed out [livejournal.com profile] dorrie6's first-line drabble meme, so of course I had to write one. I'm just a little peeved that it ended up being shades of Aziraphale/Crowley, is all. I don't write Aziraphale/Crowley, dammit. I'm very annoyed, brain.

Anyway.

The offending drabble )

And now, some sleep.
